Call Of Duty : Black Ops
Silo is a map that was released in the Annihilation map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops on June 28, 2011. Silo was originally planned to be released with Call of Duty: Black Ops, but it was scrapped before the release. It has a snow landscape with tactical buildings and small corridors. It is one of the biggest maps in Black Ops. Silo takes place at a Russian nuclear missile plant in the Soviet Union. The map lets the players use a very vertical gameplay, because there are several bulidings with more than one floor, including tunnels and attics. It´s a good map for every type of player: snipers, killers or even campers. The high buildings and the big open areas allows the snipers to have a sure place to hide and shoot. There are also some machines and barricades that can act as a cover for the killers. The buildings are as huge as the map, and, unhopefuly, there are a lot of tiny dark corners for the campers.
- This map features more than one rocket launch, as about every minute and a half a rocket launches outside of the map.
- On the cliffside edge of the map, there is red netting that has been cut open, and there is a rope going down to a ledge. There is also a pick axe at the top of the rope.
- On the top right corner of the map, there is an opening in a gate for dogs to come through.
- The map is listed as medium, yet Treyarch classifies it as large.
